WENDY WILLIAMS SCHMITZ nacido en Inglaterra en 1941 y llegó a Ibiza con su marido alemán y sus dos hijos pequeños en 1972. Durante los siguientes 35 años, pintó hermosos óleos de la ciudad y el campo de Ibiza. Recientemente, después de un lapso de 12 años, decidió adentrase en un estilo muy diferente explorándose los acrílicos fluidos y ahora está teniendo mucho éxito y amando la libertad y la espontaneidad de este nuevo medio.
Asimismo, en el ultimo año, y por petición de su publico, ha vuelto también pintar paisajes de su querido Ibiza. La trayectoria es amplio y consolidada con un total de 38 exposiciones individuales y 13 colectivas. Sus exposiciones ofrecen muestras que recojan la esencia de su evolución artística, combinando la fuerza de los paisajes mediterráneos con la libertad de los abstractos, e invitando al publico adentrarse en un universo pictórico, marcado por el amor de la isla y por una búsqueda constante de nuevos caminos creativos.

WENDY WILLIAMS SCHMITZ was born in England in 1941 and came to Ibiza with her German husband and 2 small children in 1972. During the next 35 years, she painted beautiful oils of Ibiza Town and countryside totaling around 35 individual and collective exhibitions. Recently ,after a lapse of 12 years, she decided to try quite a different style and is now having a lot of success and fun painting in fluid acrylics, loving the freedom and spontaneity of this new medium. However, in the last year, she has also restarted to paint seascapes and the countryside of Ibiza in acrylics, by special request of her public.
Her many exhibitions over the years, sum up the escence of her artistic evolution, combining the strength of the mediteranean countryside and the liberty of the abstracts, inviting the public to enter into her pictoric universe, marking her love for the island and her constant quest for creative inspiration.
This winter, Wendy will be opening her new private studio/gallery in San Jose and welcomes everyone (by appointment)
WENDY WILLIAMS SCHMITZ wurde 1941 in England geboren und kam 1972 mit ihrem deutschen Ehemann und ihren zwei kleinen Kindern nach Ibiza. In den folgenden 35 Jahren malte sie wunderschöne Ölbilder von Ibiza-Stadt und der ibizenkischen Landschaft und nahm an rund 35 Einzel- und Gruppenausstellungen teil. Kürzlich, nach einer Pause von 12 Jahren, entschied sie sich, einen ganz anderen Stil auszuprobieren, und hat nun großen Erfolg und viel Freude an der Arbeit mit fließenden Acrylfarben, wobei sie die Freiheit und Spontaneität dieses neuen Mediums liebt. Im letzten Jahr hat sie jedoch auf besonderen Wunsch ihres Publikums auch wieder begonnen, Meereslandschaften und Landschaften Ibizas in Acryl zu malen.
Ihre zahlreichen Ausstellungen im Laufe der Jahre fassen die Essenz ihrer künstlerischen Entwicklung zusammen, indem sie die Kraft der mediterranen Landschaft mit der Freiheit des Abstrakten verbinden und das Publikum einladen, in ihr malerisches Universum einzutauchen, geprägt von ihrer Liebe zur Insel und ihrer ständigen Suche nach kreativer Inspiration.
In diesem Winter eröffnet Wendy ihr neues privates Atelier/Galerie in San José und heißt alle Besucher herzlich willkommen (nach vorheriger Terminvereinbarung).
